Alright. Election year. Here we are.
Say what you want to say. I don’t hate our current president. I don’t necessarily like some of his choices as president, but I’m not so naive to think that it’s him personally making all those choices…I know he’s a figurehead of his party and most decisions are made as a team, not by a single individual. I do think he’s made some of those choices, and I certainly don’t agree with them…but hate is a strong word.
I do, however, HATE election years.
I love that we live in a country that change leaders without a coup or bloodshed and insanity. But the mudslinging, the debates, the craziness, I actually can’t stand. And I live in Texas. I can’t imagine what swing states are like.
In all actuality, I’m going to vote conservatively. I don’t know what that’s going to look like yet. I’m very surprised that Donald Trump is the front runner…like mind boggled actually. Of course it’s just because, in my opinion, that the republican party is so scared of four to eight more years of democrats in power they are grasping at anything.
If you want to do more research here’s a great article about the differences in candidates.
All I know is this. Republican candidates need to get their crap together if we truly want a put a conservative in the White House.
